Product Description
Claydough is made using 5 different clays along with essential oils of Lavender and Orange. Clays are naturally-occurring, mineral-rich elements derived from various sources including volcanic ash, rocks, soil, or sediment. Each clay has a unique combination of minerals, such as Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Potassium, and Silica, that gives it an inimitable composition.
Used cosmetically or topically in general, clays attach themselves to oil, bacteria, and impurities from the skin to eliminate them and leave skin feeling cleansed, clarified, and balanced.
- Sea Clay originates from mud laid under the sea millions of years ago and has a grayish green color. Sea clay has great absorption properties and is high in levels of magnesium, potassium, sulfate, and calcium, making it great for your skin.
- Green Zeolite Clay works by drawing out impurities and toxins from the skin, toning and firming while stimulating circulation. Estheticians use it to tighten pores, exfoliate dead skin, and reveal a smoother, fresher complexion.
- Yellow Silt Clay is a very mild clay which makes it good for sensitive skin. It is considered to be a powerful detoxifier. It stimulates the circulation of blood and lymph, removes dead skin cells, and tones and strengthens skin leaving it smooth, fresh, and raidant.
- Rose Clay is gentle and mild and great for sensitive and mature skin. It is rich in silica, calcium, iron and magnesium. It helps in unclogging pores and improving skin elasticity and cell renewal. It exfoliates dry, dead skin cells and improves skin tone and clarity. It may also help to minimize blackheads.
- White Kaolin Clay is one of the gentlest clays. It’s suitable for all skin types, but it’s best for sensitive skin. It serves as a gentle exfoliant and, no matter how you decide to use it, it has enough absorption to eliminate the excess oils without drying out the skin.
Lily & Sage Claydough soap is made with fresh goat's milk and balanced with oils that will leave your skin feeling hydrated and clean. The essential oil of lavender provides a base note of floral woods with a hint of sweetness. Lavender is well-known for it's calming aroma, often associated with relaxation and emotional well-being. All of this is accentuated by the essential oil of orange, providing top notes of citrus which naturally compliments the lively and cheerful appearance of this bar.
As with all of our soaps, they are meant for the whole body. Read more about the benefits of goat's milk soap here.
